People are People

People are people

Black, white, purple or green

What does the colour actually mean?

We are all different in someway or another

different hair, eyes, skin colour

What should it matter?

We're all people.

We may look different

We may speak differently

but remember people are people

and we have feelings

regardless of how different are the people

Whilst packing I came across one of my 1987 year 12F English assignments titled "Romantic Poetry" I wrote all the poetry.

I feel this poem is fitting for this day in history the first black American President Baracka Obama. His colour means hope and courage, paving the way for all colours and creeds. My poem has been answered.
